Description

A metal axe head with an eye — the opening for the haft. The blade flares out and extends downwards, while the body narrows towards the eye. The surface shows traces of corrosion, including green deposits.

The axe is the only object in the collection for which a metal replica is not a stylisation: a steel pendant repeats the material of the original in miniature.
